Vince is VP Growth and Consumer Product at Deliveroo, a company focused on delivering your favourite meals to your door, with a beautiful food ordering app and website, fantastic operations, logistics and top-notch marketing.

With more than 20 years’ experience in data science, prior to Deliveroo, Vince was Chief Scientist at King.com where he built a team of over 150 data scientists helping to launch and optimise games like Candy Crush. Previously, he was Head of Analytics and Optimisation, Supply Chain and Trading Systems for Ocado, where he was responsible for analytics, modelling, analysis, forecasting and optimisation and focused heavily on building the online retailer’s web analytics capabilities to improve website conversion. Vince was also Founder and CEO of Eurobios, a company which focused on applying complexity science concepts, tools and techniques to business issues. At Eurobios, Vince’s clients included BP, Unilever, Ocado, Post Danmark and Deutsche Post.

Vince holds a Master of Arts and PhD in Complex Systems from Harvard University, a Bachelor of Arts in Mathematics from the University of Cambridge and is a published author.

Building, Launching and Scaling for Growth at Deliveroo

Growth at Deliveroo means creatively identifying new high impact growth & profitability opportunities, performing rigorous analysis and user research, experimenting quickly and effectively, rapidly scaling what works, and iterating through this process again and again across consumer marketing, email, product, subscription services, restaurant marketing services…

Vince will share how Deliveroo achieves this with cross-functional, highly autonomous teams of engineers, data scientists, designers, user researchers, marketers, product managers and product marketing managers. He’ll use his experience to draw out some core lessons of how to build, launch and scale new products and features to drive increased customer retention and frequency.

He’ll try to answer the question of what the right Minimum Viable Product is for a given situation.
